Choose a conversation task and try it without a model answer. A0 is Libraski’s entry stage before A1; official CEFR levels start at A1. The levels organise the learning material; what matters is what you can then understand and express yourself.
Try a similar task with different names, places or examples. Revisit it later without suggested answers. Recognising a correct answer alone does not establish that you can speak or write freely. The course does not replace an independent language examination.
Read about the Council of Europe reference levelsThe guides include examples and explained answers you can use straight away. Start with an introduction, listen to two greetings or practise a café order.
Vocabulary, grammar and audio follow European Portuguese. Differences are explained wherever they matter to you.
You do not just recognise words and sentences on screen; you also train the reduced pronunciation heard in Portugal.
What you have learnt returns according to your learning state. Weaker words receive sensible priority within a practice session.
Your next step
Begin at A0 or take the placement test if you already know some Portuguese. Your next step will remain clear afterwards.
